Domestic Violence & Domestic Abuse

"Domestic violence" or "domestic abuse" are terms relating to crimes where that has been, or where there is, ongoing violence typically in the home environment. While usually directed towards women by men, the definition of domestic abuse extends much further than that. Such violence or abuse can be directed towards a spouse, children, domestic partners and even elders. It includes both verbal and non-verbal violence or abuse.
